Why I write this

How can we build AI products that understand people well enough to give them time back without taking their agency away?

AI can help us build faster, generate evidence, and approximate how people might respond before a product reaches them. The technology is moving quickly. Our judgment about how to use it has to keep up.

I write from firsthand experience as the founder of UserApproved.ai and a former Google Gemini product lead. These essays connect what happens inside product development with the broader questions AI creates.

What to expect

Occasional essays on AI product development, synthetic users, organizational decisions, and human agency. If you want practical observations from the work of building, rather than summaries of AI news, subscribe.

There is no fixed schedule. I send something when I believe it is worth your time.
